Dominic Johnson was born in England in 1966 and since 1990 he has been a foreign correspondent with a focus on Africa with the left Berlin based paper Tageszeitung (taz). His specialty is the Great Lakes region of Africa. His most recently published book is  Kongo: Kriege, Korruption und die Kunst des Überlebens,[Congo: Wars, Corruption and the Art of Survival], Brandes & Apsel 2008, 228 S., 20,7 x 14,5 cm Pb. € 19,90. ISBN 978-3-86099-743-7.
